I remember when I first got to play the game almost 6 years ago. At that time I had no idea of who Yoko Taro was, what he had done previously in the gaming industry, and therefore had no clue what I was going to be invested in. But soon while playing Automata, I realized this is not your ordinary post-apocalyptic story. So much symbolism, such rich story, such deeply and well written characters and motives, and best soundtracks in gaming (I've heard till this date) that just blew me away. Nothing can express the joy I had while discovering the Automata universe. I thought it would be just a fanservice hack' n' slash game, with robots and androids and some rusty metal smashing, and I am glad that I was stupidly wrong.

And I knew this game has a story that can get big in the anime medium with some tweaks in the storyline, and Yoko Taro fortunately said that it is the case here. I played the game, loved it like no other, and here I am witnessing a dream. Its story being screened for everyone.

To those who played Automata and know everything, we came far everybody. I have hope that Taro involved heavily in the anime's story to fit the medium just right, without altering the story quality too much. Heard he told the directors animating Automata to blend important and good side story missions from the game as part of the actual anime along with the main storyline. And here we are to enjoy the mix; some side missions in the game were truly impressive stories of their own that did not feel like pointless additional content.

To those that have no clue of the Nier:Automata universe, you are signing in for:
-Epic and rich post-apocalyptic setup;
-Extremely good/amazing/brilliant story;
-great characters;
-2B simping contest.
-And top-notch soundtracks, especially if they get to use in-game OSTs as well.

MAN I AM SO HAPPY. LET'S ENJOY IT TO THE FULLEST. And let's hope that the anime will be so good people will spam-buy Automata and give Yoko Taro more funds and reasons for a sequel to the game ay?

Yeah, it hurt when Disqus killed online threads. Nobody would comment over 20k times on anime episodes.

I had the 0 upvote bug too but got it fixed recently. If you look up "discuss disqus channel" on Google you can ask them to recover your upvotes it will take a few days for them to recover for you though.

NieR:Automata is such an amazing game, even after 6 years of release. I played this game from my rusty Laptop with lags. 20 FPS running yet still aiming for Ending A - Z.

first time I played I got 12-17fps yet I was so invested instantly that I made it to the Goliath fight, then saved up for a new GPU just to play properly

and yet automata only works at its best as a game(even if it was kinda underdeveloped on may parts). take that away and you got something okay-ish, being it the cleanest and tamest works (not in a good way). automata is already big and people should experience his older, better works
